SHANI

Shani is part of a rare breed of international stars who are equally fluent on stage, screen and in the studio.  She has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, taken on principal acting roles in numerous films and has written, performed and produced music which has appeared on her four releases as well as in numerous major motion pictures.  At the heart of it, she is just an American girl from a small town in Arkansas with a love for rhythm and melody.

On the heels of some success with her first release, “Undercurrent" (1999), her second release, “Call of the Wild” (2001) was released under Miles Copeland’s Ark 21 Records (Universal Music) and included her composition “El Llamar de Pasión” which was synched as part of the soundtrack for Oscar winning film “Crash” (2004).

The English version, “Call of the Wild”, enjoyed wide acceptance on radio in the US and UK. The next two releases, “Velvet” (2004) and “At the Casbah” (2007) also garnered international acclaim.
